Anna Popnikolova is a member of the Nantucket High School class of 2024. She is very excited to be attending Harvard College in the fall. She has been writing poetry since the Shakespeare unit of COVID-era 8th grade, when she first learned how to write a sonnet - but has since left iambic pentameter behind. Since then, she has been writing poetry and prose, and working as a local reporter for the Inquirer and Mirror. She recently retired her position as editor-in-chief of Veritas. She placed Top Three in the Poetry Out Loud Massachusetts State Final for 2024.
