Lalia Beckford is a 16-year old sophomore at Nantucket High School. She was born on Nantucket, and has spent her whole life on the island. During the winter, she enjoys visiting her family in Jamaica. Lalia holds a special place in her heart for basketball, shopping, history, nursing, and writing. Writing inspires her to be open with her creativity and mindset. She takes great interest in how things work and why they’re the way they are, which is the source of her enjoyment of history and nursing. Listening to music and creating stories are experiences she can’t live without.
